Welcome 2010......New Year, New Hope!

I always look forward to New Year's Eve. Each year my daughter reacts differently to New Year's celebration. Now that my little girl is almost 3, she is conscious of the things around her....fireworks amaze her just like most kids!

This year she simply never gets tired of entertaining us with her song numbers. I have LSS (last song syndrome) with those songs such as "salamat", "sana ngayong pasko" "jngle bells" , etc. She would sing these songs for countless number of times and request us (including grandpa and grandma) to watch while she sings (her own microphone), and at the end of each song requires us to clap for a really good performance.

Kids, they never fail to make you smile in everything they do..I so cherish every moment that my daughter discovers and explores the things around her.

Here's to a great 2010! Andi turns 3 in April.

Excited Kingdom

Finally, we went to Enchanted Kingdom the day after Christmas with the family of Ninong Thom. Andi's first time to see hundreds of people all in one venue. I feel excited for my little girl, and ofcourse, my mother's instinct telling me to be over protective given the very crowded kingdom. We first rode the big carousel--Andi's favorite. She usually rides the carousel over at Shangrila Mall (never fails to whenever we visit the mall). She looked very serious while riding the carousel, perhaps in amazement. Ofcourse, the adults never let the opportunity slipped and made sure to take the fiesta rides and paid a visit to realto.

Andi was unusually quiet but when we let her ride the other kiddie rides, she became so hyper and overly excited! Seeing and hearing her laughter made the trip all worth it. We witnessed also the fireworks late that evening! On our way home, my daughter looked at me with a big smile on her face ...and uttered the words, "mommy go back to excited kingdom" ..it was one memorable, exciting, and enchanting evening for my Andi.

We capped the evening with a late dinner at Jollibee SLEX courtesy of Ninong. It was 1 o'clock in the morning and yet my daughter was still up and awake!

Christmas 2009

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Happy Birthday Jesus
Habby Birthday, Happy Birthday,
Happy Birthday Jesus!

It was a Merry Christmas spent with family. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

Andi's 3rd christmas.
She knows that "Santa Claus is coming to town" and that it was Jesus' birthday.
Kids are amazed with colorful things...christmas tree, lanterns, colorful gifts, candies, chocolates! What's good about kids is that you can easily make them happy with little things--and that's what christmas is all about.

Santa is not much of a big deal yet. She's not yet obsessed about Santa ---not yet a problem for me how to explain who Santa is and why appears only during Christmas time. Santa is a christmas symbol for her now, in my daughter's mind she is much like the level of Dora and Barney. Oh she likes to sing christmas songs both fun and truly sentimental songs.

All her presents are temporarily on the floor now, status quo since she opened it. She still fond of her old books, videos, and singing career (!) lol

A First.

First Blog Entry.
A Day in the Life of Andi?......Amanda's Place?....Can't decide...Who is she?
Amanda or Andi? I'm talking about the most important person in my life...
She's my one and only daughter. She's 2! Pretty. Big. Amazing.

As I write this, she's beside me trying to tell me what's her favorite color?
Not pink, it's Black mommy...obviously she takes after me. Surely she changes her opinion in seconds.
I just want to keep track of those things she tells me everyday. I learn a lot from her......
